Review Text

  • By Arthur Lowe on 7 August 2017

Bought for my father who had lost his copy. He referred to it often and obtained a great deal of enjoyment from it. A good selection at a reasonable price.

  • By Adrian Rodda on 8 March 2017

Well printed and laid out with bold print. This classic selection of the best short poems in English by British poets is an excellent introduction to poetry and will spark loads of interest. A spring board into more detailed research.

  • By Debbie Butler on 24 August 2017

This was a gift, which was asked for and loved

  • By Guest on 11 May 2017

Very restricted in range of selected poets

  • By Sarah Ardley on 30 August 2017

This I gave as a birthday present it was much liked.

  • By Divangie on 4 November 2013

It took be back to my childhood and my long gone Grandmother's knee with cocoa on winter nights and sitting in the garden during school holidays in the summer.

  • By Bill on 19 March 2010

Palgrave's book became passé for a while but it still contains some of the most beautiful poetry you will ever read.I recommend this anthology to anyone but especially readers who have an eclectic taste in poetry or are just willing to try different types of poetry.Bill Healey M.A.
